Please reach us at chris@thewingmanproject.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
I'm Chris Forrester, a solution focused hypnotherapist and professionally trained executive coach with more than 30 years of commercial experience, including over 20 years in senior leadership roles. Alongside my professional training, I've spent much of my adult life exploring how we think, behave and change, with a particular interest in men's mental fitness.
The Wingman Project grew from that combination of personal experience, professional expertise and a belief that men don't need fixing. They need better understanding, practical tools and someone in their corner.
I'd love to hear from you, feel free to contact me on chris@thewingmanproject.co.uk
The right programme depends on where you are now and what you want to achieve.
Recover is for men who feel they've lost their footing because of stress, anxiety or other life challenges. It focuses on regaining stability, rebuilding confidence and developing the resilience to move forward.
Grow is for men who are functioning well but want more from themselves and their lives. It's about developing greater confidence, purpose, resilience, stronger relationships and mental fitness.
Perform is for people whose performance matters. Whether you're leading a business, competing in sport, preparing for an important event or regularly performing under pressure, Perform helps you access your abilities when they matter most.
If you're unsure, don't worry. During your free initial consultation, we'll talk about where you are, what you want to achieve and whether I'm the right person to help.
Everything begins with a free initial consultation.
The purpose is simple:
I'll also ask some general questions about your circumstances and wellbeing to make sure the approach is appropriate for you.
You'll have the opportunity to learn more about how the brain responds to stress, develops patterns and adapts to change, and how that understanding underpins the work we do.
There's no obligation to continue afterwards.
Sessions are available online or in person from:
For coaching, walking sessions in Epping Forest are also available.
Online sessions offer flexibility, convenience and privacy, while in-person sessions provide the opportunity to work face-to-face. We'll use whichever format best suits you and the work we're doing.
Yes. Confidentiality is fundamental to how I work, and what you share with me will be treated with respect and discretion.
There are limits to confidentiality where there is a serious concern about your safety or the safety of someone else. If this situation ever arose, I would discuss it with you and explain any appropriate next steps wherever possible.
Every client is different, and the right number of sessions depends on your goals and circumstances.
As a guide:
We'll review progress throughout the programme to make sure the approach remains appropriate and focused on what you want to achieve.
Often, yes. Some people choose to work with me alongside counselling, psychotherapy or other professional support.
The approach used by The Wingman Project is generally practical and future-focused, but whether it is appropriate alongside another form of support depends on your individual circumstances.
If you're already working with another professional, it's helpful to discuss this during your initial consultation so we can make sure the different approaches are appropriate together.
If I believe another form of support would be more suitable for you, I'll always be open about that.
Solution focused hypnotherapy combines practical neuroscience and solution-focused techniques with therapeutic trance and an understanding of how the brain responds to stress and develops patterns.
Rather than focusing extensively on analysing the past, the approach concentrates on where you are now, where you want to go and the changes that can help you get there.
For many clients, hypnotherapy forms part of a wider programme alongside coaching and neuroscience rather than being a standalone intervention.
No.
The Wingman Project isn't only for men experiencing difficulties. Grow and Perform are designed for people who are already functioning well but want to develop their confidence, mental fitness, resilience or performance.
You don't need to wait until something is wrong before investing in yourself.
Mental fitness can be developed just like physical fitness.
